Due to the very nature of what they do – connecting people to the energy we all use – National Grid is at the heart of communities and each year they make a significant charitable investment in the UK.
‘Bringing Energy To Life’ is National Grid’s community grant fund aimed at community organisations and charities in areas where National Grid’s work is impacting on local people. Bluefuse were engaged to build the ‘BETL’ microsite.
CONNECTING YOU TO YOUR ENERGY TODAY, TRUSTED TO HELP YOU MEET YOUR ENERGY NEEDS TOMORROW
National Grid is one of the world’s premier network utility, primarily focused on delivering energy safely, reliably and efficiently. They own the high-voltage electricity transmission system in England and Wales and operate the system across Great Britain. They also own and operate the high pressure gas transmission system in Britain and in addition, have electricity transmission systems in the northeastern US.
They are at the heart of one of the greatest challenges facing our society – delivering clean energy to support our world long into the future. They strive to work with all their stakeholders to promote the development and implementation of sustainable, innovative and affordable energy solutions, firmly believing it underpins the prosperity and wellbeing of their customers, communities and investors.
Bluefuse were engaged to build a website to let National Grid employees vote for their preferred charities along with a management facility for assessing and reporting on the entries.
This website was to replace the current system which wasn’t adequately providing the management information required as explained below.
“The website not only looked brilliant, but the technical side worked well. I have been really pleased with the management information I have received along the way. It was great to be kept up to speed with how voting was going and also to get our final result so quickly after the close of the ballot.”
