Dog-e-gifts are a fun way to make a donation to Guide Dogs in the name of a friend or a loved one.
It’s an unusual shopping environment in so much as it caters for the sale of ‘virtual’ gifts (in the form of charitable donations) with accompanying eGift cards, rather than physical products normally associated with conventional online shops.
The eCommerce engine was constructed very rapidly for TDA in order meet a pre-Christmas launch date stipulated by the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. In order to achieve this we made maximum use of our existing eCommerce platform for both the public-facing shopping environment and the supporting content management system and order processing facility supplied along with it.
