Calne Chamber is an apolitical association that provides a platform for consultation and provision of business services and information. It is run by local businesses to sustain and develop the business community throughout Calne and district, for the benefit of the whole community.

They needed a new website to reflect this, and that’s what we delivered!

This project is based on the WordPress platform and involved a degree of customisation to get it to fit the needs of the Chamber. We worked closely with the Chamber to ensure that the project met their requirements with the whole process being managed via our dedicated Project Manager and 24/7 Project Management System.

The Money Advice Service required a recuitment microsite for job vacancies including full CMS capabilities for both the basic content of the public-facing website (WordPress-based) and the recruitment functionality (a bespoke development).

Bluefuse have acquired many years of experience in developing unique, custom-built applications and more recently the customisation of open-source products such as WordPress. This was a great opportunity to bring the 2 spheres of expertise together and produce an integrated application based on both.

Gloucestershire Credit Union (GCU) provides a focal point for the community by bringing people together, to work alongside each other to provide their own financial support through a local savings and borrowing scheme.
GCU offers convenient savings and loan facilities throughout the county at low interest rates to its members. Importantly, all members are able to have a say in how GCU is run.

The three main aims of GCU are:

• To encourage its members to save regularly.
• To provide loans to members at very low rates of interest.
• To provide members with help and support on managing their financial affairs (if required).

Silly Sauces is a WordPress implementation that uses a recipe theme called FoodPress. The FoodPress theme has been customised to match the specific photographic requirements of the website, with galleries of the cooking experience given for each recipe. The website also proudly sports a specially commissioned illustration-based logo. You can read more about it by clicking here.

We’re pleased to annouce that the Quiver Management website has now been moved over to a WordPress based system so that can manage their website content as and when they choose – until now they had to put in requests for content changes to their previous developer. BlueFuse got this website up and running in a matter of days. The owner, Pip Finch, had very clear ideas of how she wanted it to look from a visual point of view, so our involvement was simple – get it up and running, quickly and efficiently and then provide guidance on how to use it…and that’s something we do with all of our WordPress implementations: we ensure our clients can actually use the system! The 3 stores include varying degrees of customisation – from minimal to extensive – both in terms of the functionality and visual appearances. While OpenCart ‘out of the box’ comes with the range of features you’d expect from a comprehensive eCommerce platform, we have also added new functionality. For example:

• A mechanism whereby the visitor’s country location could be identified thereby giving us the ability to automatically present the correct currency for the shop prices.
• Bespoke “mini-cart” functionality.
• Interactive product options.

VoiceGig is dedicated to speeches. Our first goal is give a platform for anyone, any where to upload, access and comment on speeches. Free. We feature speeches on all topics, from an address by President Obama, to persuasive speeches, informative speeches and historic examples such as famous speeches from Sir Winston Churchill, President Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr., to name just a few.

Having built the main website for them, we also augmented this with one of our eCommerce implementations that uses the popular OpenCart open-source software. You can read more about this project here.
